About Me
I am an experienced counsellor who has supported individuals facing a wide range of emotional and personal challenges. Alongside my counselling work, I have spent many years working within the construction industry and other demanding commercial environments, giving me first-hand experience of the pressures associated with high-responsibility roles, workplace stress, organisational change, tight deadlines, and balancing professional and personal commitments.
Alongside my private counselling practice, I am also the founder of Secure Cortex, a workplace mental wellbeing company that supports businesses, care homes, and organisations in creating healthier, more resilient workplaces. This work allows me to combine my counselling experience with practical wellbeing strategies that help individuals and organisations improve wellbeing, resilience, and performance.
This background enables me to understand the realities of working in high-pressure environments and the impact these pressures can have on mental wellbeing. I work effectively with clients experiencing stress, anxiety, burnout, low confidence, feelings of overwhelm, and difficulties navigating life transitions. I recognise that life can become particularly challenging when work demands, family responsibilities, and personal expectations begin to accumulate.
My experience also allows me to connect with individuals who may find it difficult to talk openly about their emotions, particularly those who have spent years coping alone or placing the needs of others before their own.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental. I believe that every person deserves a safe space to be heard, understood, and supported. Together, we can explore the issues affecting your wellbeing, develop greater self-awareness, and work towards meaningful and lasting change.
